Purpose: An Indian citizen or overseas citizen of India holding a primary medical qualification awarded by any Medical institution outside India and wishes to get a permanent or provisional registration with MCI have to clear the MCI screening test.
Periodicity: This exam is conducted twice in a year.
The Pattern of MCI Examination: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) with a single correct response.
No. of Questions: 300
Negative Marking: No negative marking.
Syllabus: All the subjects taught at MBBS level.
The syllabus of this examination is issued with the prior approval of the government of India.
